Kentucky’s Military-Connected Youth

 The Purple Star Advocates Award was created to allow public and private sector organizations to support the vision and mission of the Kentucky Purple Star Program.

Organizations applying for this award formally agree to support a Purple Star School in their area and/or support the state program in its efforts to establish a statewide network of Purple Star Schools.

How Does My Organization Qualify?

  • Get involved with the military community and show your appreciation for their sacrifice
  • Help support the educational and emotional needs of military-connected youth military families
  • Increase your positive corporate image, build trust and gain customer loyalty.
  • Boost your productivity and revenue by engaging and energizing military-connected employees
  • Receive statewide recognition for supporting Military Families
  • Designate a point of contact who works with the school’s Purple Star Liaison
  • Point of contact must take the online Purple Star Liaison training
  • Provide support and/or resources to a local Purple Star School or the statewide program
  • Submit online application for the Advisory Board to review
  • Optional: Create a military family resource page on your organization’s website

 

Purple Star Advocates are required to re-apply every two years to ensure accuracy of contact information and the schools served.
